This year, the 10th YICMG will be held from July 13th to 17th at Wuhan University. Themed “Resilient Infrastructure, Sustainable Industrialization, and Technological Innovation,” the competition has received 121 project submissions from 393 young students across 21 universities in six countries, ultimately selecting 34 finalist teams. Beyond presenting their original proposals, the young participants will form cross-border teams, transcending national boundaries to collaboratively refine solutions and explore pathways through intellectual exchange and cooperation.

The live broadcast will feature studio talk-show interviews reviewing the competition’s decade-long journey, highlights of this year’s event, and youth innovation achievements. Through thematic short films covering cross-border team collaboration, stories of outstanding participants’ growth, cultural experiences, and on-site interviews, it will vividly showcase the youthful spirit and cooperative ethos of Lancang-Mekong youth as they transcend borders, join hands in innovation, and pursue shared development.

This broadcast is a key component of the large-scale integrated media project “Nourished by the Same River, Together Toward a New Lancang-Mekong,” produced by CMG Chinese-Language Global Programming Center. To mark the 10th anniversary of the official launch of Lancang-Mekong Cooperation, the project will also release a documentary series Together Toward a New Lancang-Mekong, a thematic lecture on the ecological civilization of the Three-River-Source Region, and a short video series The Lancang-Mekong Promise, among other diverse content. Together, they will offer a panoramic record of the achievements of Lancang-Mekong cooperation over the past decade, presenting a multidimensional picture of how the six nations, bound by the same river, share a closely intertwined destiny.”
