INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION OFFICE

The University of Yangon has set up the International Cooperation Office (ICO), which was established in 2017 and officially launched on 10th January 2020 for international collaboration.

VISION

• To support the University for achieving its internationalization objectives by providing efficient, effective and professional services and to increase its global visibility.

MISSION

• To promote student mobility and faculty exchange through international collaboration
• To support international collaborative projects and to expend international research networks
• To develop and exchange cultural activities with internationally diverse students

Internationalization Strategies

• To promote students and faculty exchange
• To develop Internationally transferrable credit system
• To enhance Internationally accredited study programs
• To strengthen collaboration with international institutions for teaching, research and development

SERVICES OF ICO

ICO works as a contact and coordination point for international activities/relations and seeks international scholarship opportunities for students. ICO also organizes social events to promote integration of international students studying at the University of Yangon and develops a platform for information sharing on the University of Yangon, partner universities and international organisations.
