Dr. Win Marlar Thein has been serving as Professor of the Department of International Relations and Political Science at the University of Yangon since October 2025. She entered her PhD in International Relations from the University of Yangon in 2012. She joined the Department of International Relations, University of East Yangon as a tutor in 2002. She became assistance lecture at this department in 2010. Then, she was transferred to Yadanarbon University from 2011 to 2013. She served as lecture at Dagon University from 2013 to 2021. In 2021, she was promoted as associate professor and was transferred to Yangon University of Foreign Language. She was transferred to Naypyitaw State Academy from 2022 to 2025. In 2025, she was assigned as a Professor at the Department of International Relations and Political Science at the University of Yangon.
