Dr Phyu Phyu Kyaw

Dr Phyu Phyu Kyaw is an Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations and Political Science, University of Yangon. She received her BA (Honours) degree in 2005 and MA degree in 2007 in International Relations from Dagon University. She achieved Diploma in International Studies from University of Yangon in 2014. In 2021, she attained her PhD degree from University of Yangon. She has joined the teaching career at Dagon University in 2012 and promoted as an assistant lecturer in 2016. She was promoted as Lecturer in 2020 and transferred to the Yadanarbon University. She was transferred to the University of Yangon in 2022. In 2026, she became as an Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations and Political Science, University of Yangon. Her research interests focus on Myanmar Foreign Policy. She teaches diverse courses for International Relations and Political Science Subjects on Introduction to International Relations, Regional and International Organizations, Foreign Policy and Foreign Relations, Government and Politics of USA, Current Policies and Programs in Myanmar. Moreover, she gives lecture on Elements of International Relations and Foreign Policy Implementation for DPS Class students. Her research fields include Myanmar-China Relations and China’s BRI projects. Her PhD dissertation focuses on “Interactions between Myanmar and China towards BRI”.
