Daw Lwin Cho Latt

Daw Lwin Cho Latt is an Associate Professor in the Department of International Relations and Political Science at the University of Yangon. Since 2019, she has been pursuing her PhD dissertation at the Graduate School of International Relations at Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan. She holds double master’s degrees in International Relations from the University of Yangon and International University of Japan. Her research focuses on Myanmar’s cooperation with China under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) framework, with Peace and Security as her principal field of study. Since September 2026, she has overseen the University of Yangon’s Area Studies Centre.
