Dr Myat Myat Htun (Ms.)

Dr. Myat Myat Htun is presently a lecturer at University of Yangon, Myanmar. She received B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics from Bago University in 2008, and M.Sc. in Engineering Physics from University of Yangon in 2011. She was awarded a Ph.D. Sandwich Scholarship JFY 2016 (JICA for AUN/SEED-Net) to peruse her Ph.D. in Advanced Materials at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and Tohoku University, and graduated from USM in 2021. Her research interests have included the developments of calcium silicate-based bioceramics, biocomposites, advanced materials and biocompatible biomaterials for bone tissue engineering and biomedical applications. She has published scientific research articles and academic book chapter related to biological and physico-mechanical properties of synthetic-based and natural-based bone repair biomaterials. She also obtained Best Poster Award, and Sanggar Sanjung Awards for excellent achievement in journal publication for the year 2019 and 2020 from Universiti Sains Malaysia for her research.
