Daw Nilar Tin is a Lecturer in the Anthropology Department of the University of Yangon. She holds MA degrees in Anthropology and South East Asian Studies (International Relations) from the University of Yangon. She has over 26 years’ experience of teaching and researches. Her previous research works include the Socio-Economic life of Kokant, Wa, Naga, and Chin nationals in Myanmar Border Area based on socio-ethnographic research methods. She has published extensively on the socio-economic life of Wa and Naga nationals in Yangon University press. She is currently conducting departmental research about indigenous knowledge on health care practices. She and her colleagues are currently working on “Indigenous Knowledge of Healthcare Practices of Yin Baw ethnic group, Kayah State in Myanmar in 2017-18”.
